So, to people who've read my blog before:
What do I hate most in a damn linkshell?
Drama. That's what. So, why, then, am I still in Pandora's Box? Probably coz it's just about the only sky shell that I still stand a chance at getting anything. Despite the fact one of our officers is too busy thinking he's the new leader. Yeah.
Between changing the scheduled sky activity with no warning, to flat out demanding people come certain jobs assuming we'll be doing gods instead of just farming, he's trying to take over the shell by introducing a half-dozen members that I swear will only listen to this moron.
Oh, and these members? Shouldn't even be in the damn shell. Recruitment has been closed since BEFORE they joined. They got in on a clause I didn't even know about... Real-life friends get in no matter what. So our power-hungry officer is now bringing in all his gimp-ass friends to shit up the shell with their "I'm better than you and hate everyone" attitudes. Not to mention said officer has become... well a fucking dick. Cocky, bossy and self-important, egotistical prick. He also has taken over the CoP static, as well as has been given the charge of our LS Limbus runs. He's been given a bit too much authority, and it's going to his head.
The worst part? Maka and Mem (LS co-leaders) both KNOW that the ONLY people that like this guy are his fucking RL friends. The rest of the shell thinks he's useless. So what does Maka do? Schedules a full LS meeting for 2 WEEKS FROM NOW. Not NOW, not TOMORROW, not any time soon, TWO FUCKING WEEKS FROM NOW. January 13.
At this rate, I think Zac and I are gonna be pretty well off after the 13th. Selling our pops should be pretty profitable. Think Zac has over a mil's worth, I have a few hundred K. We'll see how it goes.

Wiping to more Gods.
Title explains it all. Just finished participating in the most epic fail I have yet to see in Final Fantasy XI. Pandora's Box just wiped a group of 20+ people to Byakko. This on top of all the rule bending and general ass-hattery going on in the shell is really making me think of pulling the ultimate dick move. Drop my pearl, take my Summerstone and Gem of the North and either move on to greener pastures or sell them off and at least make a monetary profit, considering this linkshell has been more headaches than pleasures.
Our Nyzul static is fail-tastic. Out of a total of 6 runs, a possible 30 floors cleared, we've cleared 9. And it seems to be a fair-weather static at best. People decide they just... don't want to participate, even though they've signed up. The failed floors are due to a wonderful mixture of epic fail people participating and unlucky floor combinations (Order lamps followed by Enemy Leader, which happens to be a fucking SOULFLAYER NM). Mostly epic fail people though. Today for instance, 4/6 people decided to take it upon themselves to pull COMPLETELY SEPARATE MOBS simultaneously, even though Zac, the LEADER OF THE FUCKING STATIC said that he would be pulling. Insert fucktastic wipes and failures here.

One of the number one rules I think anyone should follow when leading a sky/sea/limbus/endgame shell is that THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO RULES WHATSOFUCKINGEVER.
I bring this up as I'm seeing a person I haven't seen in... 3? weeks with a /seacom stating he has lotting rights and wanted to lot Byakko's Haidate. But the rules state that if you miss more than 2 runs in a row, you lose lotting rights till you've attended more than 2 consecutive runs. This person's excuse is that he's been working, but yet he's afforded the benefit of the doubt whereas I was asked to tell Kristi that she no longer has lotting rights.... because she can't attend runs due to *drumroll* HER FUCKING WORK SCHEDULE.
Not to mention I'm feeling less and less appreciated in the linkshell. I'm supposedly an officer, but yet I was never asked before a new lotting rule was added. I agree with the rule, but it's the principle that I wasn't EVEN FUCKING ASKED. Not to mention I'm just about the only person who is asked to come as a job I inherently dislike for the benefit of the shell, but yet other members are allowed to solo-lot things when they're asked to come a job THEY LIKE AND HAVE ADMITTED TO LIKING.
Also, my gear elitist side seems to be kicking my ass a lot recently, noticing the quality of players that are getting the QUALITY gear. Such as SAMs who fulltime full STR gear and attempt to use a FUCKING SPEAR OF TRIALS ON GODS getting Shura Haidate over a relatively well-geared competing lotter who is more than willing to not only change their gearing habits to fit the situation, but is also just a more intelligent player.
All in all, not pleased at all with the situation in Pandora's Box. The worst part is, if I bring pretty much any of this up to the leaders, it'll be ignored at best and I'll be called a hypocrite at worst. I say hypocrisy because I, myself, have already done an "unthinkable" act in the LS: I lost lot on Zenith Mitts to our WHM leader and essentially rage quit. There's more to it than that, but I'm giving you, the reader, what the leaders see of me. Not to pull the "No one understands me Q_Q" card, but that's essentially what that was; I was under far too much stress at the time, and quit because it was the final straw.

Wtf?
Fwee, update? Maybe? Yeah.
Ding, Samurai is now capped on all relevant merits, Great Katana 8/8, Overwhelm, Shikikoyo, Meditate Recast and Store TP are all 5/5. Next on the list? Dragoon. Black Mage is... relatively capped already, only thing I really should work on there is Enfeebling skill and MP, but those aren't high priority as I'm not being a sleep whore in Dynamis anymore.
Um... other stuff?
Grats to Zac on his Kitty Pants~ Got those about a week ago, and a bad shitstorm of drama followed him around. His BRD, though it can wear them, was retired at the time, and his SAM was 66. Yeah. People were spamming him in tells "Why did you lot that, what jobs do you have?" So now he's going to be regearing BRD, finishing up SAM as well as finishing THF. Kid's got a lot on his plate.
Stupidity knows no bounds, does it? Sky LS is farming Despot, as we're trying for a giant Byakko bender, seeing as like 15 people need his fucking pants. So, farming Despot. We have 4 BLMs up there. Myself, Stoopie (<3), Brandyn and someone else I can't remember (sorry!). Eti pulls a Groundskeeper PH and everything's going fine, we're killing them kinda slow, so I decide to nuke to speed things up. Now, if you've never, ever, fought a doll-type mob... they have this wonderful move called Meltdown. They explode. Meltdown has a ~6 second charge time, and has a very recognizable animation, and is also stunnable.
THE DOLL STARTS FUCKING LEVITATING AND CURLS INTO A FUCKING BALL.
The other 3 BLMs know they should be doing something, but apparently their brains have blown into smithereens already. They freak out and panic. WTF DO WE DO YON!? OMFG
Me: STUN IT.
BLMs start casting----BOOOOOOOOOOOM
3/4 of the ally keels over dead.
And then, to shit more on us, fucking Despot pops.
Fuck stupid people.

Kirin Burn... How does it fail.
How, exactly, does a Kirin burn fail?
Let me list the ways, in order of how badly it fucks things up.
1: 2 gimpass BRDs who can't be arsed to properly merit and gear their damn job.
2: A BLM in the kill alliance.
3: A SMN in the kill alliance.
Had 25+ people show up for Kirin tonight, and somehow managed to cock it up at the end because 2 of the 3 BRDs didn't have fuckall for merits in Nightingale OR Troubadour, leading the oh-so-necessary songs to fall off about a minute and a half into the fight. This fight is supposed to last less than 3 minutes, to not allow Kirin any time to summon the mini-gods. Well, since the BRDs didn't feel like doing their goddamn jobs enough to merit them, we ended up wiping with Kirin at ~8% after he summoned Byakko.
If you don't have a properly merited and geared job for a Kirin burn. Don't fucking show up. I'm all for diverse strategies and making sure everyone has an equal shot at gear they want, but if all you have leveled to 75 is BLM, don't fucking show up and expect to do a damn thing. Your spot is better used for another melee DD that can do more than 50 damage every 15 seconds.
Also: To any BRDs out there. Merit Troubadour and Nightingale TOGETHER. They go hand-in-hand. One doubles the duration of all songs sung in the duration at the cost of 1.5 times the cast time and recast time. The other? Halves the casting and recast times with no penalty to duration or song potency. There is a REASON BRDs use Soul Voice, Nightingale and Troubadour TOGETHER when in a BRD rotation for any sort of TP zerg fight.

CoP Progress O_o
So, Makare and all the awesome folks in PandorasBox (my sky/social/everything LS) decided... fuck it. Let's do CoP. Let's get everyone in the LS who wants it Sea and their ring. After 2+ years of languishing on 2-5 because I had a horrible experience going 0 for fucking 10 on the damn Minotaur and Phomiuna Aqueducts SLOG, I've made more progress in the past 2 weeks than I had in the last 2 years.
Let's see here.
3-5, Darkness Named. 1/2 (Loss from a pickup group)
4-2, The Savage. 1/1. Broke record.
4-3, The Secrets of Worship. 1/1
Next up, Promyvion-Vahzl. Not nearly as horrid sounding as the original three Promyvions, due to it being 50 cap. After that? The single longest (and some say hardest) mission in all of CoP. Three Paths. Two dungeon-crawls, an uncapped NM fight and 3 50-or-60-cap BCNMs.

Missions are fun.
1/2 on CoP 3-5 :D
Though, I only got to fight Diabolos once... The other one is from a failed group that didn't even get to Pso'Xja to run through it before people started bitching and moaning.
Diabolos was... easy. Really fucking easy. Like, we got Nightmared once, the tiles fell, Kristi2 (Makare, sky shell leader) ran in and Bene'd us all... Then we went back to whooping his ass.
I guess 2 Blue Mages, a Dragoon/Blue Mage and a Dragoon/Warrior is too much for the devil copy to handle :)
On to Ouryuu, which we should be doing later today with an apparently "easy win" setup. Then, the bloody Sacrarium. >_>; I hate Fomors and Tauri.
Other updates.
Um...... Regeared 40-cap BLM (which, coincidentally enough, is the same as 30 and 50 cap BLM...) for a set of Under Observation BCNMs. Me, Junglebrotha and Zac were planning on burning literally all of our stored seals in an attempt at getting PCCs, but no dice seeing as JB got called away to do part of CoP 5-3.
Oh, well. I got a scroll of Utsusemi: Ni out of the deal, which sold and paid back the 130k I spent on regearing BLM... Plus some :D
Also been working on finishing off my BLU sub for Dragoon, so I can solo stuff easily enough. Getting whomped by Lesser Colibri out in Bhaf is not my idea of fun, so I really need this sub finished. Thankfully, I left it at 27, it's now 36. Only problem? I left it with absolutely NO gear.
Fuck me running.
So... there goes most of the rest of the prize money from Ni. At least my BLU isn't gimped now :D

Fucking awesome.
Radiant Lance is now at 525 points out of the 10880 I need to unlock Drakesbane. And I figured it out how to knock it down to 20 "sessions" of breaking. 544 points per session. That means, as of right now, I'm like... 5% done with it, and I haven't even done any hardcore WS sessions on it, just partying and Sky.
Oh, and more on Sky. Not only did I get my A. Hands Abjuration for the mitts of pwn, I was a whopping 4 points away from highest lot on a pair of Byakko's Haidate...

1/8 on the son of a bitch, and we won it with a SMN strategy. 3xSMN, RDM, BLU/DRK (who took a while to get accustomed to stunning) and WHM.
Seeing as I only have one of those leveled... I was RDM. Yeah. Sup Refresh ho. 6 Refreshes, WHM took care of hasting the BLU.
Oh, by the way, this was with my sky/social shell. Makare (Kristi2) was WHM, we had Zac, Greenpower and one of Green's friends as our SMNs and Junglebrotha was the BLU. You guys fucking rock!

So, that makes 4. \o/ Only, like.. 12 more to go. 16 jobs, but I'll never fucking touch four of them (BRD, COR, PUP, BST).
Angon, unlocked, had 3 merits literally stored away to unlock that. And I've been working on my Shikikoyo recast, too. Been able to put 3 upgrades into that, to put it at a recast of 7.5 minutes, half of the default 15. One more upgrade (5 merits) and that'll be done! Yay! More WS whoring.
So. Drama update... I rejoined my Sky LS after the Kirin debacle, am now an officer in charge of keeping track of drops and pops. Then, damn near quit after one of the co-leaders decided her WHM needed Zenith Mitts more than my BLM.
Bahahahahahahahahahahaha....
That's fuckin' rich, eh? She swore up and down she would have passed had they not dropped to her so fast, but apparently 5 minutes is not long enough for someone to pass.
Whatever.
So, I'm on a break from Sky. They have a Kirin burn Wednesday. Pretty sure they don't have the manpower to burn Kirin down quickly enough without my SAM there. Or DRG (Angon!). Or, hell, even BLM (NEWK). We shall see.
Oh, and Kristi's out of town. She wants me to log on to her character should the Shura Togi Abj. drop again and lot for her.

So. I think I'm just flat out done with Dynamis. Too many selfish, self-important, holier than thou cockpouches out there. Zac and I quit DynamisLordsII because the attendance officer/strategy officer/arrogant twat Voicememo is apparently omniscient and knows EVERYTHING THERE IS TO KNOW ABOUT DYNAMIS, ESPECIALLY TREASURE HUNTER.
Oh, did I mention he's a BRD?

So, Zac brings it up in LS chat as we're getting started in Dynamis-Windy that THFs don't need to melee stones more than once, to get on the hate list. That's all TH needs, too, at least according to the Wiki. Voicememo, being the God-figure he is, says that "They're fine, the more hate they have, the higher the drop rate goes. And I'm not changing something we've been doing for 6 years, I have 6 years experience in Dynamis, etc, etc."

So, Zac looks it up, on the Wiki. I know, Wiki can be unreliable with some things due purely to its nature as a website anyone can edit, but there has been extensive testing and it has been damn near proven that "More hate =\= more drops". Here's the quote from the Wiki page on TH, just for shits:
"Treasure Hunter is not affected by amount of damage, "luck" items, or who makes the "killshot", nor does it have any effect on chests, coffers, or caskets (including those in battlefields)."
Not affected by damage. Which, damage = hate. Not affected by hate.

Fugly hat, get!
OK, so... updates.
Ding, Dragoon 72 (fwee, Dusk Gloves and 3 levels to go)
Ding, new social LS (the others are boring 3/4 of the time)
Fugly hat, get! (Optical Hat)
Nothing too exciting with the first two, really. The last one though... took fucking forever. Stumbled into a /shout group to get a few people their Ohats, offered to come as BLM, even though I have no buffer on BLM. Well, turns out I didn't really need it. What I needed most was about... Oh, 6 fucking hours to get 7 hats.
The initial group had 5 pops, and 7 people, we got down to Hakutaku's spawn area and cleared everything out, popped him and killed him in roughly 35 minutes. Not bad, considering how low we were on DDs (the heaviest physical DD we had was a BLU, but we had a SMN as well). Absolutely no problem at all. 2 pops in, the leader and a couple other people had to go for Salvage, but they swore up and down they would come back afterward to help everyone else get their hats. K. S'cool. Total time: 35 minutes each for 2 kills, 15 minute wait in between. 85 minutes total.
2 hours later (Which isn't counting in my 6 hours, btw) we gather everyone back together... except the NIN/DRK tank. Great. We go back down, and my parents call me to come pick them up. Goddamnit.
1 hour later (Still not counting this), I get home to see that more people dropped out, but we have people to replace them. Yay. I get told to wait at the paintbrush door for a BLU who's coming out to help out. No big deal. Total time: 15 minutes waiting. 100 minutes total (Could've done Salvage in this time).
We get going, kill the adds, pop Hakutaku again, kill him in 15 minutes (the first BLU had switched to WAR and we got another NIN/DRK tank), no deaths and went even smoother. Twice over. Fucking awesome. Total time: 10 minutes to kill the adds, 30 for Haku, 15 minute wait. 150 minutes total.
This is when the solo-healing RDM (We had two) decides to pass the fuck out. Apparently, he'd been drinking all night. Oh, and the NIN? DCs.
YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY. /sarcasm. Zac gets a RDM from his new social (and my new social) to come down and help, and the PLD we had off-tanking gets a THF and DRG friend to come help. RDM shows up, no real problems, about 20 minutes of waiting. Not bad, considering that's only 5 minutes more than it takes for the damn ??? to repop. We decide to wait for the DRG and THF to show up, since the DRG does have his own paintbrush to open the door. Slight problem. He's Galka and too fucking stupid to know how to USE the paintbrush to open the goddamn door. No, seriously. We had to tell him how. Not only that, but after 20 minutes of him dicking around, he finally gave up and Zac and I had to fucking warp out to get them past the door. Total time: 65 minutes, including getting through the temple and Den with the Galka and THF. 215 minutes total.
We *finally* get back down to camp, the group clears the adds as we're on the way back down. This is my pop, by the way. I sit near the ???, waiting for the Galka to show up. Oh, yeah, he didn't want to stay with me, Zac and the THF. Apparently he also didn't know the way to Hakutaku. Insert taking wrong turns here, here, here and there. 15 minute delay. He finally gets to camp, I pop Haku and run back. Total time: 15 minutes waiting for dumbass. 230 minutes total, nearly 4 hours total, and we've only popped 4 Hakus out of 7.
The fight goes... bad. Really bad. As in the tank couldn't keep any sort of hate, even with the THF TA'ing him constantly. The SAM also didn't know how to control her hate and bit the dust twice. Insert clusterfuck of death and dismemberment (and lots of burning), considering the RDM thought she could enfeeble Hakutaku and therefore, ran out of MP about midway through the fight, after already using Convert. The two SMNs we had (Who will be the only two I mention by name in this post, thank you Zac and Burnsie!) ended up main healing AND DDing for about 50% of my pop. Given the circumstances, I'm surprised we kept going after this, but everyone was bound and determined to get everyone their hat. Total time: 50 minutes to kill my pop. 265 minutes total.
Insert resting up, party switching and general BSing here for 15 minutes while we wait for the ??? to repop. Start killing the adds about 10 minutes in, Burnsie gets ready to go pop, and does so. Fight goes INFINITELY smoother, with the SAME DAMN PEOPLE. What the fuck. Maybe the tank learned he needed to keep hate better? And the RDM didn't even try to enfeeb Haku this time, so my advice got through. Killed him in 25 minutes. Total time: 15 minute wait, 25 minute kill time. 305 minutes total.
Final pop, also happens to be Zac's. Insert BSing and distributing lootz to the people who came purely to help (I sometimes hate being so generous. I gave away a scroll of Flare knowing full well it goes for roughly 200k, though the RDM would have had a pop had the crafter not shattered it.) and giving the RDM a Vile Elixir +1 that dropped off Haku to use mid-fight if she needed it. Well, she did, but the fight still went extremely smooth. Everyone 2houred, since we knew it was the last damned pop. Insert celebration, thank yous, and D2s all around. Total time: Another 15 minute wait, 25 minute kill time. 345 minutes total.
345 minutes. 7 hats. That's 5 hours, 45 minutes. For something that should take MAYBE a half hour-45 minutes per round.
Ugh.
But, special thanks have to go to Burnsie, for all the work he/she did to keep the group together to get EVERYONE a hat.
I think we're one of the only groups to do that... ever. At least, a pickup group. :D

Fail Glacier is fail
OK, so just got outa Dynamis - Beaucedine with DynamisLordsII.
My reaction: Meh.
Got the closest I've gotten to a Glacier win, but didn't get it. Reason? THF's macro fucked up as he was pulling the mega boss. So he got raped by a very pissed off eye and his dragon bodyguards. Oh, and those dragons? They have ZONE HATE. Which means, you even exist in the zone, they will eat you. Yeah. The 24 people we had in Beaucedine died very, very quickly with 4 pissed off dragons on them. MAYBE 10 minutes away from the win. If even that.
Fail.
Oh, and 2 Duelist's Tabards dropped. First one was reserved after some dickhead changed his seacom RIGHT before they were taken down for attendance. This was after he had asked and decided which he'd go after, BLM or RDM. I said BLM, knowing I already had the piece, and it being the most useful (my opinion). He originally had his comment as BLM, just normal request. After this, he changed it last minute to reserving RDM. Fucking dick.
Second one drops, me and a WHM are normal seacom'ing it... I lot a 370. Fuck. She lots a 378.

Bye, bye, Sky.
Don't think I'll be going back any time soon, unless someone damn near promises me a fucking KO, Kitty Pants and the like the SECOND the shit fucking drops.

What happens when you wait around 3.5 hours for a 10 minute fight, only to have the only thing of any worth drop to a complete stranger the group picks up off the street?
I quit. My sister quits.
Members getting FUCKED out of shit like that after waiting with their thumbs up their asses by some lucky little fucknut who the shell won't be seeing again. That is exactly why I adamantly refuse to have any part of anything even remotely related to endgame material if there is any hint of that sort of BULLSHIT.
The sad part is, I like the shell. So did Kristi. Just that sort of shit really bugs the fuck out of us. And I wasn't even the person who got outlotted. It was Kristi. I honestly wouldn't have cared so much if it was me, and when she got outlotted by another member, it was just fine. It was this fucking WHITE MAGE of all people, can't even wear the piece that we knew of, but he still got the fucking abjuration. Oh, btw, it was the Dryadic Body. A Shura Togi. The best body piece a MNK like my sister can possibly get.

Few small updates, unfortunately nothing HUGE LIEK XBOX this time...
Dragoon's now 63, halfway to 75 as far as EXP goes... Fweeeeeeee.
The Dark Mezraq is awesome looking :D Too bad I gotta get rid of it at 70 for the lolColossalLance.
Other than that, nothing major's been going on. Got involved in some major drama over at KI... I fucking hate that place with a passion, I don't know why I even opened my mouth there. Whatever.
Kristi's 2 assaults away from her Pahluwan body, so Zac and I are saving tags. After that... either lots and lots of Nyzul so I can actually see me getting Drakesbane and Askar stuffs within the century or doing some Mamool Ja SP Assaults for Amir Boots. They're apparently wtfpwn for DRG if I can't get a hold of something like Aurum Sabatons. <______>
Uhm. Dyna-Bastok last night with DLII, got the win, ended up about 5 statues away from a full clear. Which, is freakin' awesome compared to lolAesir, who struggles to get the win in Basty pretty often now... at least since the only good BLM in the shell left (cough) Can't wait till I actually get to to Beaucedine with DLII, might actually get the win, then it's onto Xarcabard. The land of doom and cookies. Oh, and lots and lots of fucking ice. D: Sorcerer's Petasos, can I have it? More than just SAM relic hands, can I have it?

I sure as hell hope SE finds out who all bought FFXI-App and bans their asses. Some of the people who did are just fucking pathetic. Was reading the post on BlueGartr about FFXI-App getting shut the fuck down, and people were saying that they're quitting because they couldn't handle playing LEGITIMATELY anymore. Now, I technically "cheat" by using the third party Windower, but there is a HUGE difference between using the third-party one because the first-party one is a laggy piece of shit and OPENLY ADMITTING you used a botting program for WHATEVER reason, and can NO LONGER play the game as it was fucking intended to be played. Fuck you fucking fuckers, go play WoW or something if you want the easy way to gil and gear.

Fucking people.
So, got a party with Zac earlier in East Ronfaure (S), only to leave it about 30 minutes afterwards.
We originally had a DRK by the name of Blackrecon as a party member, apparently some drama occurred before I joined the party and he ended up getting kicked. Whatever. So, we get a full party, everyone gathers together and suddenly we see Blackrecon as PLD/DNC. Pulling our mobs, and training about 10 of em at once.

So, I call a GM, get an answer in about... 3 minutes (New record!)
GM>>Greeting Dragoon Yondaimesama, I see that you wish to report a player for intentional griefing.
>>GM:Yup, the person was apparently kicked from our EXP party and is now pulling and mass-training the mobs, claiming he's simply farming.

Not 5 minutes after that, he appeared directly in front of Blackrecon, who was fighting off the horde he'd pulled. No idea what went on, as they were speaking in tells, but after about 3 minutes, the GM disappeared, Blackrecon stopped pulling and left us alone.
For about 5 minutes.
He reappears with another train of Ladybugs (He had been pulling colibri, the mobs we originally were going to kill, but we changed after we saw how quickly we were killing :D) and then proceeds to drag them directly into our camp, killing them and preventing our healer (PL) from targeting any of us with any sort of speed.
Insert GM call #2.
Insert completely worthless and wasted call #3000.

We originally had a DRK by the name of Blackrecon as a party member, apparently some drama occurred before I joined the party and he ended up getting kicked. Whatever. So, we get a full party, everyone gathers together and suddenly we see Blackrecon as PLD/DNC. Pulling our mobs, and training about 10 of em at once.

So, I call a GM, get an answer in about... 3 minutes (New record!)

Not 5 minutes after that, he appeared directly in front of Blackrecon, who was fighting off the horde he'd pulled. No idea what went on, as they were speaking in tells, but after about 3 minutes, the GM disappeared, Blackrecon stopped pulling and left us alone.
For about 5 minutes.
He reappears with another train of Ladybugs (He had been pulling colibri, the mobs we originally were going to kill, but we changed after we saw how quickly we were killing :D) and then proceeds to drag them directly into our camp, killing them and preventing our healer (PL) from targeting any of us with any sort of speed.

Lots of updates... :D
OK, so been a bit since my last large(ish) post. Picked up DRG big-time, as in I think it's gonna be my next 75. Started at 20something earlier this week...
Ding, Dragoon 50.
Jesus Christ, that's a lot for me in a week. Dragoon's fun as hell too, and I love my wyvern ^^
Other than that, um... went on Dynamis-Jeuno with DynamisLordsII, great shell and I can go SAM there (woot easy buffer!), ended up not getting the win because people were fucking around, but meh. We would have won easy otherwise, these guys are so damn efficient. They don't lack for any job except maybe healers and refreshers... Oh, I picked up a pair of Duelist's Tights freelot too, so my RDM is now 3/5 relic. The most I have for any job, on the one I play the least. What the fuck.
Oh. And I'm sitting in Sky atm. With three shiny new things in my inventory, both from a pickup Byakko shout.
1: A Seal of Byakko (<____________< Meh, 150k?)
2: Aquarian Abjuration: Head (Zenith Crown, not on my list of ZOMG MUST HAZ but nice.)
And...
3: Dryadic Abjuration: Legs (Shura Haidate, probably the BEST easily obtainable WS piece for SAM, and a damn good TP piece as well.)
The first two, I don't have much use for atm, the seal's gonna be gil, the A. Head abj. is prolly gonna go in storage till I get the shit I want for SAM and BLM first... But the DLegs? I already have the cursed panties. After I'm done here (One more Byakko pop, then we're doing lolturtle once) I'm sure as hell gonna fucking warp to Sandy n get it uncursed.
Oh happy day, more hate in Campaign and Dynamis. My healers are gonna hate the shit out of me.

Well, shit finally hit the fan. No longer a part of either Vanirr social LS or AesirDynamis LS. Seilin, the wonderfully immature and ever-so-hypocritical leader of BOTH shells finally got on my last nerve today. So, I dropped Vanirr. Said my goodbyes, had a nice hearty bitch-fest at the stupid whore and told her where to shove it when she tried dragging Xeno into it. Way to go fail-bitch. Way to chase members out of a shell that needs good leaders to make up for the pile of shit you are.

Went and finished off ToAU44-47 yesterday, the last few cutscenes are epic as hell and well worth the dragging storyline till about... mission 30ish.
Wait.
Oh yeah. I BEAT TOAU :D Ulthalam's Ring, which is my new replacement for one of my Woodsman Rings on SAM; Glory Crown, which... just looks awesome; and an Imperial Standard flag I already put up in my Mog House. All of those (Found it!)
Thanks to Maxion and Associate for dealing with the pretty (really fucking) sloppy group we had and working their asses off during the final 5-stage fight to make sure I got it done :D

Meh...
OK, so... now I remember why I hate living with my parents.
Got to ToAU43 yesterday, after an epic win on the Soulflayer (last) form of mission 42. Everybody except Obaa died from some stupid AoE spell that raped us from near 100% to DEAD. Thankfully, the tank and I both had reraise up, and Amnaf (the squid-bitch) was at *maybe* 8% HP remaining. So, I RR up, cure myself so I'm not bleeding profusely and then Chainspell nuke the bitch, thinking I'd win.
Thunder 3: 0 dmg
Blizzard 3: 0 dmg
Fire 3: 0 dmg
What the fuck? Oh. Soulflayers have a Magic Shield-like effect that acts more like Stoneskin. Fuck. Well, that barrage got me hate, so I run around like a little ninny, and I see Amnaf's health going down, but no one's hitting her in our party. I then see this little feline blur behind her and realize "Oh yeah, Naja's helping." If you haven't done this BC before, Naja Salaheem, your mercenary boss in Aht Urhgan decides to assist you. For a price, of course, but still, help is help. But... she's fucking useless for the first two thirds of the fight, she has a tendency to attack things blindly, and she only has about 1000 HP. The mobs can HIT NORMALLY for 200+ dmg. Yeah.
Anyways, kiting it around, watching Amnaf's and Naja's health both (Amnaf had Ice Spikes on...) and finally I just STOP moving. I'm freaking out like OMFG WE LOST!? D: My target was on Amnaf at the time... 0%. Dead. Naja alone took the bitch from 8% to dead. EPIC WIN.
After that, our group decides to stay together to finish off the final fight for ToAU, but... we had some problems deciding what to go as for this 45 minute BC. Our setup for 42 was DRG, SAMx2, RDM, BLM, PLD. The PLD and one of the SAMs (Asso ^_^) decided to switch places, since the current PLD wasn't comfortable with tanking the final boss. Fine. We then realized that the first enemy we faced could eventually become immune to either melee or magic damage, depending what we kill him with. Fuck D:
One BLM + One RDM (me, with WHM sub) is normally not enough to ensure this bastard dies. I bring this up to the leader of the group (who shall remain nameless) who then says "We'll be fine lol"
Now, by this point I had already blown 50k on meds for this, failure due to time-out is not really an option for me.
Insert parents here. "Shaaaaaaaaawn we're going to pick up dinner."
FUCK!
So now, I'm stuck either waiting till after dinner or we go in now and pray to whatever God there is that they'll let me eat downstairs. Wait. What's this? Why am I suddenly solo? Why is the leader still in Whitegate, shouting for a replac....

Yeah, I got booted because my fucking parents don't know how to listen when I say "I'm gonna be busy for about an hour or so."
So, I go eat, in a really shitty mood to begin with. I get back to my computer, put my linkpearl back on and I see this about 15 minutes later:

Missions, Gifts, and the Power of Persuasion

Anyways... been doing a lot of missions, finally got off my arse and started Nyzul climbing, now on floor 6. Still need to dig out a Windslicer, Vorpal Sword and maybe a Radiant Lance though D: Got from ToAU 21 "Shield of Diplomacy" to ToAU 32 within the past couple days, too. Fun stuff.
Xeno, Asso, Kazedarkwind and I went ahead and did WoTG 7, the dragon fight in La Vaule (S) last night, finished at like... 5:15 in the fuckin' morning too.
No Dyna drama to report on (Q_Q) but apparently Maxion bitched hard enough at Seilin to convince her that letting a couple other people sponsor a run every month wouldn't be such a bad thing. So.... Emoneaone (big Galka PLD going for Aegis) and myself are now allowed to sponsor one run every other month. As in, he sponsored our latest Windy run, I'm probably going to end up doing Sandy sometime in September. :D She can be taught, apparently!

So yeah, that retiring SAM thing? Yeah. Didn't last long. Almost regeared to its former glory(?), and my wallet is weeping. Very, very loudly. First it was under the pretense of getting the higher level shite for DRG, which I am now planning on being my next 75 (after SCH)... Then I realized what I'm buying.

So... about a mil later, my SAM's nearly regeared, including a new addition. A Rindomaru with the following augments: Store TP +12, WS Damage +3% and Add'l Effect: Disease (lol?) Yeah. Still gonna keep my Onimaru, but that actually frees me from using the Hachiman gear completely. Yeah, that's right, I have enough Store TP on that Great Katana to do away with all other STP gear. Hi2u Kirin's Osode, Dusk Gloves and less LOL feet.
Anyways. Greed.
After the mil I spent on SAM/DRG gear, I'm realizing that I need a better way to make money. I know a great way to make money, given I have at least 500k on me at all times. The problem? Seilin, my Dynamis leader, is a stingy cunt and won't let anyone sponsor a run. She says she's been waiting long enough for a relic, and if I were to sponsor, I'd be giving up at least half of the currency I win per run.

So... yeah. YAY4DRAMA!
Dynamis - Beaucedine last night. Went absolutely fucking awesome, especially considering we only had 16 people. Something like 9 relic drops and Seilin (leader) said we were only like... 2 time stones away from the Mega Boss. Excitement.
Speaking of our oh-so-intelligent leader, after Dynamis I had plans to help Dia and Xeno with some Assaults (rather, make sure Xeno doesn't die while he solos Golden Salvage). So, right after we get out of Dyna, I warp out so I can go get my orders and etc. Now, apparently, this is bad. Especially considering I'm an officer. Seilin goes off saying that BLMs must stay around to give warp 2 to anyone who needs/wants it, and that being in a bad mood is not an excuse to just take off. Conduct unbecoming an officer, etc. Alright, no problem... wait. The text is red. My linkshell text is red.

She just bitched at me in linkshell. Right after Dynamis. One which I led the BLMs to doing the ABSOLUTE BEST they've ever done (Good job, you guys... if you've stumbled on my blog.)

... Yay Dyna
Dynamis - Beaucedine last night... well, would have been if we had more than 16 people show up for it. Ended up moving to Sandy, since no one was in - imagine this; people showed up after that! We ended up having about 24 people for Sandy, not too bad. I don't know why, but we always seem to wipe at Wyrmgnasher Bjakdek (first NM) no matter who we have pulling, just way too many links. We tried something new, time-nuking the outside statues, went fine, but there are still way too many mobs that come out as a result. Skipped him, cleared out choco stables then started sacpulling the NMs. Bjakdek went down like a bad date on prom night, then we pulled Reapertongue Gadgquok, the SMN NM. JOY, Hi2u Astral Flow rape! Now, if you don't play Dynamis, or haven't done Sandy this is where I'd tell you that you never have people melee the 3 major NMs in Sandy. Charmga tends to have lots and lots of fun with people who do that. We said DO NOT MELEE THE NMS before we pulled Bjakdek all 3 or 4 times we did - no one did. Incoming big-ass SMN Orc, BLMs are ready to sleep the avatar(t?)... Melees: Pulling out weapons.

Me: No... we (the officers, I'm unofficially an officer in the LS) said don't melee the NMs. All 3 of them.

Me to BLMs: Incoming horde of melees and NM; Sleep em if you can.
Sleep lands on a lot, but one of them is running around with Gadgquok still. Maxion. Our main tank and co-leader of the shell. He's screaming at the top of his lungs in party and LS chat, "FOR THE LOVE OF GOD SLEEP ME!" so he doesn't run back with the NM to the respawn point. By this time, the BLM group was all dead, there was one lone RDM still alive, with all the melees still napping. Said RDM sleeps Max, melees all wake up after they uncharm, they all sit there and die. All except my sister.
Now, for some odd reason, the NM doesn't go after her, allowing her to contemplate exactly what to do. She decides to go wake up the sleeping, charmed PLD. Now, if you've never been charmed before, I should explain that charmed players are able to be targeted as mobs, but don't follow hate rules. At all. You could weaponskill them and they'd still go after whoever the fuck looked the best to eat at the time. Sister decides to wake up Maxion, saying it'd be better for her to tank the PLD (MNK tanking a PLD.....????) compared to the RDM that slept him.
WTF. Just let him sleep, decharm (eventually) and be a good little girl and DIE, instead of prolonging the inevitable. Never mind that charmed people don't pay attention to hate. So she wakes him up after he was screaming to sleep him. Common sense would usually dictate that you don't want to wake up people who want to be slept. Especially in Dynamis. Insert FULL wipe here, where the RDM, Maxion and Dia (sister) could have stayed alive.
NM wanders back to spawn, people start RRing... and I start bitching at her for making the intelligent decisions to:
#1: Melee an NM in Sandy. This is not her first Sandy run. Every time, I've told her to not melee the NMs. Every other time (but one) she's not melee'd the NMs. \o/
#2: Wake charmed sleeping people.
Now, I admit, it was a little over the top screaming at her, but in my defense, she was trying to defend her actions. I see where lag may have played a role in not seeing Max getting slept, but come on... hitting charmed people is fun in Besieged and all, but Dynamis has an overall goal, and a lot fewer people to achieve that goal. Tanking a charmed person just doesn't happen, they'll just go after whatever seems shiniest to them at the time. I'm just speechless at this point. D:

OK so... Finally back on the path to finishing CoP... or at least till I get stuck on 3-5 for a year. Last time I had a push to do any CoP missions, I got Promies and the Minotaur fight done in less than a week, 3/3 on Promies and 1/3 on Minotaur groups. Just got a feather up my ass and tried 2-5 again (Goddamn Mammets). Well. After going 0/4, I ended up beating them with a few LSmates :D 1/5 on CoP 2-5. Now onto bigger, and more pain-in-the-ass missions! Like Diabolos. And the GODDAMN MOTHERFUCKING MOUNTAIN, which I cleared yesterday just before I did a Hagun ENM run with Dia, Xeno, Saturn and Magified ^_^b Got shit-all for drops, but it's a fun ENM nonetheless.
CS's so far have been pretty cool, actually. Prishe is funny, she tries so hard to be a tough-ass or something, and the Chebukki's are just annoying as hell with their daddy problems. All I have to do now is beat a Morbol NM and I'll be on "Darkness Named" AKA Diabolos. Joy. Then I'll be just about halfway to Sea. Well, as far as numbered missions go. 5-3 notwithstanding, of course.

So yeah...
Whoever decided to write on FFXIClopedia that ZMs aren't repeatable is a fucking moron and should be shot in the face. Last night my sister got on (/gasp, for those of you who know her), and decided.... Hey, I want Sky. She was on ZM6, we had *just* finished her headstone run and I looked on the wiki to see if the BC fights were repeatable. Wiki said no, I said WTF and we went to try entering the ZM6 BC anyways. So, in we went as BLM75 and MNK75, I got in and we rejoiced. We then recruited one of our Dynamis shell's officers to come and tank for us and couldn't get anyone else, so we figured why not try? Yeah. Ants got raped. Dia 2houred the PLD, beat its face in till it used Invincible. I did what I do best, then :D Tornado II - 1.5k damage. ^_^b Dead PLD, then BLM and RNG fell shortly after. 3manned ZM6, nearly broke the record. Insert ZM7 CS right after, then on to ZM8 and the absolutely, pathetically easy fight. (SPOILARZ warning) Kamla'naut is fucking pathetic. Setup we got for this was SMN (Xeno), RDM (Maxion), MNK (Chille), MNK again (Dia) and me (BLM). 10k HP goes down awful quick when you've got a SMN tossing out 1.5k PClaws, a MNK 2houring and a BLM tossing nukes. Broke the record again.
Insert long CS run here, then ZM12. The pot. 6 people, 2 of which actually needed it to die...
SMN, BLM, MNK, THF, RDM, DRK. Guillotine + Asuran Fists + Dancing Edge + nukes + Crimson Howl/Flaming Crush. Absolutely thrashed the pot. Congratulations to Dia and Vonaboonabo on Sky :D
Now, if she'd only get on more to get the gear ;)

Small Update...
OK, so had a really weird party on SCH just now... IT+ Mandies giving 50 EXP each in a full party. Yeah. GM'd it, waited an hour for the GM to show up, he had us unsync, resync and kill and it was all better >_>. But, ding SCH26 and I think it's gonna be my next meritho job. I love the flexibility, and it's not nearly as OP as I thought it was when it first came out. Still is OP if you've got the right person playing it, but the limitations are well-thought out.
Anyways, other than that, yay 1.4Mil... well on my way to a Hagun, though I think that's going more towards crafting atm. 32 Woodworking and planning (hoping) on 100+3, and YAY got my first piece of BLM relic too. Sorcerer's Tonban, so my day-matched nukes are ever-so-slightly more powerful.
Two of my oldest FFXI friends also transferred from Shiva server, Reho and Saturn, both awesome people though they both brag a bit too much for some people (poke, poke Xeno.)
Anyways, they're... loaded, and coming from a server with a fucked economy like Shiva, to Asura where stuff is about... 10x cheaper? Yeah. They're thinking ZOMG we have so much gil now LOL.
Anyways. Nothing else, pretty small update. Happy 4th of July to anyone who's stumbled upon my blog ^_^

... Making a Deal with the Devil.
So yeah, if you know me at all irl or in-game, you'd know I absolutely LOATHE(d) SCH as a job. Post is titled such because I'm now leveling said job, and loving it. Yeah, go go being wrong as hell about something! Not only is SCH not really all that broken, but they do pay for where they overpower the other mages - there is a LOT to do with the job. Keeps you busy, but at least for me... won't burn you out. SCH15 as of right now, planning for at least 37, maybe (D:) 75.

Well. Nothing major won from the Bonanza >_> Just a Fafnir statue. 20k for a nice little statue though, so not a complete waste.
Ding, PLD40 in a retarded Crawlers' Nest party. Level Sync 35, so no Flash, no High Breath Mantle; setup was PLD, SAM, DRG, MNK, RDM, BRD (!) Yeah. I stood no fucking chance of keeping hate, especially with all 3 DD's simultaneously WSing as soon as the mob got to camp. Typical order of things: BRD pulls (back to camp 3/4 dead because she didn't know wtf shadows were), SAM WS, DRG Jump/WS, MNK WS, I Voke... *insert DD here* dies, they laugh, RDM sighs and goes "I can't Raise" for the 193874901th time. DD HPs. I die a little inside knowing they learned NOTHING from it.
45 minutes into the pt, leader goes "PL otw" and the party rejoices. All but me. Tanking doesn't work too well with most PLs, as they want to save MP by tanking themselves. /sigh Byebye Shield Skill, I didn't want to cap you, really. PL shows up, I ask if he minds me tanking, he says "Sure". :D!!! DDs go even crazier, WS spam like mad, BRD changes to COR, pulls better somehow. I go from tanking pretty well.... to not at all. Sync hits 36, I use my mantle and still can't tank. So I just say fuck it and don't even try. This is where the DD's start to bitch, "We're taking too much damage, do your job!" I just say fuck it and force DC as they were moving camp. Still haven't logged back in. Joy for logging in tomorrow in fucking Crawlers' Nest.

First Post!
Right, so... First post, new blog (first blog, pardon if it sucks).
Hi, my name's Shawn, also known as Yondaimesama of the Asura Server. Proud resident of Vana'diel for 4 1/2 years now and still have shit to show for it. Oh. If you're sensitive to swearing, leave now. There'll be a lot of it. Anyways.
Black Mage, Samurai and Red Mage at 75, though I am loathe to say I have the last there. Don't need a bunch of Refresh-and-Haste-less ninnies squeaking and snapping at me. Chronically poor, mostly from bad luck, partly from laziness... Prone to ranting and raving about morons and people's gear, though I'm not too much of an "elitist" due to my personal lack of gil flow. Speaking of morons...
Just got out of a Dynamis run, now the shell I'm in is full of awesome people, funny and for the most part intelligent... Except for the other BLMs. I was told by our (fearless?) leader that I'm the unofficial "BLM lead" AKA I call out time nukes, target which stones and the like for the other BLMs. Well, we went into Dynamis Windurst with... ah... 27? people. About that. Anyways, 27 people. TWO Black Mages, myself included. The other is a moron, and to protect the idiot from heckling, his name will be withheld. He's the type that will just stand there and let the statues whack away at him, doing nothing. Therefore, knocking our current nuking and SLEEPING! down to ONE Black Mage. Me. I'm pretty good, I think, but there's only 2 Sleepga spells, waste one on saving the moron, I'm down to the other. Said Sleep sticks, but as you may or may not know, Dynamis Statues are immune to *all* enfeebling magics. Sleep = enfeebling. Immune! Yeah, I got gang-raped by about 5 pissed off statues.
Rinse, repeat until I eat enough dirt to lose 4k EXP... While eating NOTHING but Raise 3's. Which only let you lose 240 EXP per death. Needless to say, we failed today, got a whopping 4 (!) relics. BLM, PLD, WHM, WAR. I lotted BLM, then was quickly outlotted by our leader... who then disappeared off the face of Dynamis, and Vana'diel in general. Yay4DC. Don't think she forced, but still... Wonderful, eh?
